Cross Canada Trip - Day 38

Here is a map of our route through Newfoundland.

As we were driving along the road, near the ocean, we spotted this person out sailing across the big bay in a tiny sailboat. No fear there.

That's not an iceberg, it's a rock called Shag Rock.

A strange mix in one picture - fences, horse, fishboats, rocky island and ocean.

AND WE MADE IT!!! Cape Spear - the most easterly point in North America.

Whales galore at Cape Spear. Here's one blowing near a whale watching boat. That's St. Johns in the background.

Margaret and Greg at the Cape Spear lookout. While we were here, we saw a humpback whale breach and hit the water with a thunderous splash. Quite a thing to see and hear.

Margaret at the Cape Spear Lighthouse.
