The “Mile 0” monument of the TransCanada Highway, in St. Johns. Drove down the coast, south of St. Johns, on a circuitous route to the ferry terminal. The landscape changed several times. As shown above and below, it could be windswept and barren but with many little lakes. This is not Saskatchewan, it's Newfoundland. This is not Ireland, it's Newfoundland. Driving is not always easy here. We noticed this little fishing village surrounding a small stream beside a house in St. Mary's, so pulled over to take a look.
