After my stay in Holland (see 2 posts - "A Tribute to My Uncle (1)" and "Seven Photos in Deventer, the Netherlands") I journeyed to France, specifically to Courseulles-sur-mer, Calvados in the Normandy region. I visited another uncles' grave (see my post "A Tribute to My Uncle (2)") and also took time to wander around the town and see what there is to see. Courseulles is very quaint and appears old. I say that it appears old because I was told that almost all of it was destroyed during the D-Day invasion in June 1944. Whether it was or wasn't, Courseulles is beautiful and the people are nice (they put up with my limited French vocabulary very graciously). Here are some snaps that I took...…….
