JEEPNEY

JEEPNEY

Past January I visited the Philippines. The Jeepney is the most used form of transportation there. People board from the back door and pass the fare up to the driver. I seen where there were so many people on one that they hanging on the outside.

Another form of transportation is the Tricycle. These are motorized and have a side car. The Pedicab is the non-motorized style, all pedal power.

As you can see above they will load as much as possible.

Pete, Manila is extremely busy. You can only drive your vehicle on certain days of the week. It's based on the last number of the vehicle's tag number.
The food was good! I ate most everything, except Balut (a developing bird embryo (usually a duck) that is boiled and eaten from the shell) and Itlog On Sticks (1 day old male chick rejects are eaten batter-fried then are usually dipped in vinegar, sweet chili sauce or just chili sauce with diced cucumber and onions.)
Street Food Vendors are very popular in the Philippines.

Really takes a lot of talent to load that much stuff on a Kawasaki and not have it lay down. Great shot!
