Photo Walk Near Home

I went for another walk near where I live yesterday to see what the season has brought forth. Different flowers, fields with ripening crops, clear sunny views into the distance.

Through a farm gate looking up at the sky.

First time I have seen a Teasel in flower, normally I have only ever seen the seed heads.

European Peacock butterfly, posing in the sunshine.

Looking back at where I live.

Loo Cross, which way now?

Sea of blue, over sea of yellow. Ripening oats.

Old style stone stile. Looking over a field of barley. A series of cereals at the moment.

A novel way to keep a gate closed. The weight on the chain pulls it closed after you go through.

Across hill and dale.

I like the correction to the spelling. The original sign had Beeston which has been corrected to Beeson.

Chamomile is all over the place at the field edges. Rub it between your fingers for a relaxing hit of scent.

"You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley. You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky as we walk in fields of gold"

Making it's escape over a garden wall.

Because the hedges are so tall in the lanes I had to hold my camera in the air with arms outstretched to see what was there.

Dry stone wall abstract.

Field Boundary stones.

The other end of the creek. To the left is where the water flows out to sea.
