Seaweed

[159-365] 7th. January 2021- Now we are in full lockdown we are supposed to exercise once a day from home so walking the creek is very popular again. It was a chilly day all day with a band of ice around the foreshore, sky was clear, water still, boots muddy. There is far more seaweed on the rocks than there was in the summer so I'm not sure if that is a seasonal thing.

Spotted a large oyster, but put it back as it was the only one I have ever seen there.

How do those words "we are supposed to exercise once a day from home" taste in your mouth ? I have never tasted an oyster, but that's how I imagine they taste smile

I too am noticing far more seaweed in this cool season as compared to the summer.  How similar yet different we experience the shore - here on the east coast of the US - I see many similarities to your corner of the world.

So I wasn't imagining it? I suppose it's basically the same sea we're on just with a very large space in the middle.

Very true!  Grace and peace to you.  May this lockdown be the last!
