Athens, day 2

Very cute wall art. :)

A panoramic view of Athens. Sorry about the obvious seams - just pretend it's been folded up. ;o)

View of the Ancient Agora from above.

Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
I can only imagine what it would be like seeing a play here in the really, really good ol' days.

The entrance to Acropolis. We were fairly early, so not too many tourists yet.

Scaffolding everywhere.

A horse and a guy being squished. ;)

The Caryathids. These are all replicas - 5 of the originals are at the (fabulous!) Acropolis Museum, the last one is in London, at the British Museum.

One very warm tourist. ;)

Down at the Ancient Agora, we found the State Prison, where Socrates sat imprisoned.

Temple of Hephaistos.

Emperor Hadrian to the right, my mum to the left.

I had a good laugh at this. :)

Smart pooch - there's no point in being out in the sun if you don't have to. Unless you're a tourist. :D

This orange must've been so warm it undressed before getting on the hop-on hop-off bus.

The Acropolis Museum.

An absolutely fantastic museum!
