I'm cheating on my ‘one photo a day’ project today as this photo was actually taken yesterday. I've been conducting a recorder group all day today and am now on the train home so I've had no real photographic opportunities today. This is a shot of one of the buildings belonging to Sheffield Hallam University which has a poem by the poet laureate Andrew Motion mounted on the side. Rather than try to get the building straight in the frame (always hard so close up) I went for a purposely skewed perspective. I thought the blue sky with a few puffy clouds set off the angularity of the building quite nicely.
