Midnight pine tree

I'm staying at Belstead House near Ipswich this weekend, tutoring on another recorder course. The weather was appalling when I arrived so I didn't have an opportunity to take any photos during daylight hours. However, as I left the main building to come back to my room this evening I noticed the patterns created by a large pine tree against the deep blue night sky and thought it would make a good photo. I got a few funny looks crouching down with my tripod looking up into the tree but I like the effect of the patterns in the bark on the tree trunk and the branches spreading out from there against the sky. Ideally I would have liked the trunk to be sharper in focus but with the limited light available focussing was rather difficult
