From Notre Dame yesterday I'm now up in Yorkshire for a meeting to plan the 2009 Recorder Summer School near Beverley. I've never had the opportunity to look around the Minster in Beverley properly when I've been up previously so I caught an early train this morning and made a beeline for the Minster as soon as I arrived here. It's a wonderful building and I more or less had it to myself so it didn't matter in the least if I felt the best way to get a shot was to lie on the floor as no-one was going to see me! Strangely I found it much easier to photos I was happy with here than in Notre Dame as there were very few bright spotlights to spoil the view. I've posted a couple of shots of the carvings of medieval musicians that decorate the building plus two of my favourite photos of the Minster's arches. I could have spent all day here - it was great to have such a fabulous building to myself - what a privilege!
