I took a short drive to the village of Slindon today to take some photos of the pumpkin display there. One of the village residents has been growing pumpkins for over 40 years and every autumn puts on an amazing display of them. I have never seen such a variety of different shapes and sizes of pumpkins and the colours were truly amazing. The lighting was very overcast and there was a film crew from the BBC Gardeners World programme there so my shooting possibilities were rather limited. However, I think this photo shows the huge selection on display. They'd make one hell of a pumpkin pie!
Anyone for pumpkin pie?
