Chasing the sunset

I know today's photo is remarkably similar to yesterday's but it was the best that time would allow after I'd finished teaching today. I left Bedales School at about 4pm and realised the setting sun was promising some exciting colours again so I headed up Stoner Hill in search of a suitable viewpoint. After driving down lots of narrow country lanes I found this spot, just before the lane I was on joined the A272. The colours aren't quite as dramatic as yesterday's and the focus is a little soft as I didn't have time to get my tripod out and set up before the colours disappeared. However, with a little tweaking to lighten the foreground in Lightroom I think it works reasonably well as an image.

The colors in this one are a bit softer, but fantastic - very peaceful scene. Thanks for searching so hard for the right shot!!
