I was driving to my friend Pam's house this morning and my journey took me past the entrance to the Crickley Hill Country Park, just outside Cheltenham. I've driven this way on many occasions but this morning my eye was caught by these rather cute cows congregating just inside the main gate. I parked up and took some photos; these two were my favourite. I love their lustrous, curly coats (very useful this morning with temperature close to freezing) and their wonderfully feminine eyelashes. They seemed quite happy for me to take photos at quite close quarters and are obviously used to human contact. Who'd have thought cows could make such good portrait models!
