Leading lines

After I'd finished at school today I drove to Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth to meet Kevin. I had a few minutes to kill before we met up so I walked down to the waterfront to see if I could find today's shot. I was immediately struck by this image, with the leading lines of the steps and the bollards marching off into the distance. I took quite a few shots until I was happy with my composition. The other people down there must have thought I was quite mad taking photos of steps and bollards! I decided it would work best as a monochrome shot to emphasise the structure and shapes.

Nice black and white, and you managed not to get any traffic or people in the shot!
