I had really good intentions to go out and shoot today's image but the weather wasn't exactly inspiring and I got sidetracked with work at home. I had to go to the shop in the next village this afternoon to use the post office and on my way out I spotted some kiwi fruit for sale which immediately struck me as being a photogenic subject. It took some experimentation to find the right combination of lighting angles as I wanted to show both the translucent quality of the flesh with light from the side as well as the moisture on the cut surface of the fruit.
