Meet the boss...

When I arrived at the Travelodge I was booked into last night I found this ginger cat sitting on the reception desk. I assumed he was a local cat who had come to visit but when I found him sitting in the chair behind the reception desk this morning I realised he must be a resident. I spoke to one of the staff and she confirmed that he does indeed live at the Travelodge and is called Jack. Apparently he spends much of his day in reception and only occasionally allows the staff to sit in what he evidently considers to be his chair! He??s a rather striking fellow, although sadly lacking a tail. The receptionist told me that he??s always been tailless so I guess he must be a Manx cat. Incidentally Manx cats come in two varieties ?? rumpies (with no tail at all) and stumpies (with a stump of a tail) ?? Jack falls into the latter category, although the lack of a tail for balance evidently doesn??t stop him getting up onto the rather high reception counter!

What a great character he is. I love ginger cats- had one for many years when I was a child/teenager and again later in life. They always seem to be good climbers and intelligent.

Haha - Jack looks like a nice cat! I always enjoy it when businesses have cats or dogs.
