Wind power

I had my usual monthly rehearsal in Reading today and made a small detour to visit this wind turbine which I have seen on the horizon from the motorway every time I??ve visited. The size of these turbines is astonishing when you get close up and this was taken from directly underneath, about 15 feet from the base. I chose a slow shutter speed to try and capture the movement of the blades. The sky was pretty dark and threatening when I was there so I decided a black and white conversion would suit it best.

I've always wanted to stand beneath one of these and look up - thanks for showing what that looks like!
