I pass this field of cattle on my way to Bedales School every Thursday. This afternoon they were gathered around the gate beside the road, waiting expectantly for something or someone, so I decided to stop and take some photos. As I stood there, snapping away, the farmer came across the road to the field ?? they were evidently waiting for him. After a couple of minutes he opened the gate fully and the cows all processed across the road in a reasonably orderly fashion to be milked, creating the biggest traffic jam that little country road has probably seen for quite some time!
