Cotton wool skies

During my journey home from Somerset this afternoon I stopped for a short break in a lay-by just south of Salisbury. As I sat there listening to the radio I noticed this field of rape flowers on the opposite side of the road, with a glorious blue sky and fluffy cotton wool clouds above it and just had to take some photos. I??ve never found these vivid yellow flowers particularly photogenic before (they really dominate the landscape at this time of year and make me sneeze violently!) but in combination with this dramatic sky they were just asking to have their photo taken.

I think the rape gives the countryside a great colour at this time of year (but then I dont suffer from hayfever!)

Nice photo! Have you photoshopped it in any way?
