Fields of yellow

Over the last couple of weeks I??ve got back into using my bicycle to travel to school and my route takes me along a lovely, peaceful cycle path behind the Fishbourne Roman Palace. Alongside the path is a field which is home to two horses and a carpet of yellow buttercups. I tried getting some shots of the horses yesterday morning as they rolled around on their backs in the early morning sun but wasn??t quite quick enough. However, this afternoon on my journey home I stopped again and focussed my attention on the buttercups this time. This shot was taken with my little compact camera so I??m quite pleased with the shallow depth of field I??ve managed to create. I can see I??m going to enjoy finding new shots on my way to and from school over the coming weeks?

Nice clear shot - they always remind me of my childhood when you put them under someones chin to see it they liked butter (not sure how that worked!)

Lovely shot and an amazing result considering the slightest breeze makes them move all over the place
