It??s been another lovely day here today so I took the opportunity to take some photos of the beautiful purple clematis that Colin, our neighbour over the road, has growing in his front garden. I got myself prepared with my long lens so I didn??t have to trample on his flower beds but I just couldn??t persuade the wind to stop blowing for long enough to get a well focussed shot! I noticed some petals on the earth which had been blown off so I picked these up and took this still life abstract effort on my music room windowsill instead. Once the wind drops I will be returning to Colin??s front garden to capture the whole flowers (assuming the wind doesn??t blow all the petals off before then!) as they are truly stunning.
