I went down to Portsmouth this afternoon to meet up with Kevin and his MBA friends after their final presentations. I got there early and had a mooch around Gunwharf Quays with my camera looking for photos. I was hoping I might find an alternative ??mirror image?? shot for the Martin Bailey photography assignment, either in the heavily glazed buildings or the water there. The water was a little too choppy for proper mirror images but I found this reflection in one of the pools there. I was rather taken with the contrast between the wooden panels and the reflected colour from the kiosk on the far side of the water and thought it made a rather nice abstract shot.

I like the dappled reflections and like you say, it makes an interesting abstract... btw, what's this Martin Bailey assignment you are referring to?
