Old fashioned telephony

After a predominantly monochrome week I??ve gone to the opposite extreme today with some vivid primary colours. As I drove home from school this afternoon, looking for something to photograph on my way, I noticed this lovely old phone box in South Harting. It provided a nice splash of colour on an otherwise grey afternoon and I decided to stop and take some photos. South Harting is a lovely Sussex village with bags of character which somehow has an air of being trapped in the past. Somehow it seems very appropriate for it to still have one of these red phone boxes (rather than the modern steel and glass monstrosities) and for it to be artistically framed with honeysuckle! Not that we??re talking in stereotypes here of course?.

very catchy shot! I too have captured such a box (not this colourful!) in my London visit.

What a nice found! We had similar telephone boxes in Norway, but they was not as pretty as this one...
