"Hello my deer!"

Apologies for the cheesy title of today??s post ?? I couldn??t resist the pun! I had a rehearsal in Ham today and my journey there took me through Richmond Park. The weather was pretty awful but I took my camera with me in any case and as luck would have it the rain had pretty much stopped by the time I reached Richmond. As I drove through the park I spotted a rather handsome stag grazing beside the road so I found a safe place to park up and leapt out of the car armed with my camera and 70-200mm lens. He was a little wary of me but I managed to capture a few shots before he walked away into the undergrowth. As he did so I spotted a large number of does sitting a little way off. I continued snapping away and as I did a magpie landed on one of them and began picking insects out of her coat. I captured quite a few shots of the pair of them but this one in particular caught my eye as it looks like the magpie is whispering something into the doe??s ear. I wonder what the conversation was about?!

“Psst, can I have a word in your ear?!”

This handsome was enjoying a spot of breakfast
