Alone in a frozen landscape

I??ve spent most of today working on the timetable for this year??s Recorder Summer School. After several hours works I was beginning to go stir crazy by 3 o??clock and decided to get out of the house in search of today?? photo. I just went for a short stroll around the block, taking photos of anything interesting that caught my eye. It was very cold outside and much of the hard frost that appeared overnight was still frozen on the ground. As I turned into the grounds of the village social club I noticed this lone traffic cone sitting amid a large pool of ice and it struck me as an image which could benefit from the selective colour approach to really bring out the chilly feel. I know it??s one of my more bonkers shots but I blame the cold for addling my brain!

I like the brightness of the orange cone compared to the bleakness of its surroundings.
