Colours of the political spectrum

With a general election coming up later this week the news has been a perpetual stream of passed deadlines recently ?? the last Prime Ministerial debate, the last weekend before the election etc. This reminded me of something that happened in Chichester during the 1997 general election campaign. Our local tool-hire shop was selling colourful wheelbarrows and posting the numbers of each colour sold outside their showroom. As their showroom sits beside the main road running around Chichester it provided an entertaining commentary on the popularity of the various parties (as well as being a useful advertising tool) for the commuters passing by in their cars! Chichester has had a Conservative MP since 1924 and their current majority is over 10,000. The next nearest party is the Liberal Democrats but if Chichester turn yellow this Thursday is will be nothing short of a seismic shift as we are currently a lowly number 101 on their hit list!

Give the winning candidate a box of those crayons - but you might have to explain how to use them.

Very nice captures, BTW.
