Skies of blue, sea of green

I had to go to the opticians in Bognor Regis today so I took my camera and went for a walk along the beach while I was there. It was a far cry from the muddy browns and greys I saw along the North Sea coast over the weekend and I can't remember the beach ever looking quite so idyllic here before. As I walked along I had Louis Armstrong's ‘What a Wonderful World’ going around my head, although I now realise the words I've used as my title actually come from ‘Yellow Submarine’ by The Beatles! I gave my polarising filter a jolly good workout today and it's really helped make the fluffy white clouds pop against the deep blue sky.

Quite a lovely and serene image, Helen. The colors are bold and beautiful together. Love that pole in the water!

Very nice shot! I never take my polarizer filter off even when shooting my birdie shots. Great idea to have it on when shooting sky and clouds... wonderful shot!!
