Sixteen

I gave a concert in St. John??s Chapel at lunchtime today so I took my camera along and during a break in our rehearsal I snapped a few frames. St. John??s is a beautiful chapel in Chichester dating from 1813. It??s no longer consecrated but it still has all its original features, including the wooden pews and an impressive three level carved pulpit. The pews are still labelled with their original painted numbers and it was one of these that caught my attention.

I??d like to thank all of you who have left comments on my test posts here on PB over recent days. I think I have now figured out why my posts were not appearing on the front page. I have always posted my pictures via the Windows XP Uploader but it seems this is why they have been invisible to you all. By posting them using the ??post?? button on the front page they have miraculously become visible once again. I discovered this quite by accident but I will let the administrators know in case they can do something to fix the problem. I??m looking forward to seeing more of you all now I have reappeared from under my invisibility cloak!!

Welcome back!! Was this the same concert at St. John's where Ted Barlow was playing? Love the focus and the angle of this shot, Helen. In our church, we all sit in the same pews each week, so we might as well have our "name and number" on them! Forbid it, that we should have to sit elsewhere!

Now it is "readable"... Welcome, and that this number 16 is the first one of beautiful series photos to come

Love the dof used, the grain of the wood, and the story of the chapel. Nicely done, Helen!

And this one was on the FP. I hope you post more of this chapel - it has me rather intrigued.
