Knocking on the door (theme)

When I saw today??s doors theme I was delighted because, as many of you know, I??m partial to an interesting door or two. One of the perks of living in an old city like Chichester is that so many of the houses have interesting door furniture so I went for a stroll along some of the older streets in search of my themed shots. All three shots were taken in the Pallants, a small crossroads of four streets within the city walls. The lion actually sits on the door of a house which was once occupied by the composer John Marsh between 1787 and 1828. He was one of the leading lights behind the music at St. John??s Chapel [photoblog.com] which I featured here a few weeks ago.

I like the simplicity of this door knocker.

I found this chap looking regally out onto North Pallant

If only all door knobs could be this elegant!

Lovely angles, great focus, and a wonderful variety of door knockers/knobs. Such an appealing post, well-presented, Helen.
