The Tuesday Inspiration: Old and new

Today??s two-part theme was quite a tricky one to shoot for as it??s often impossible to shoot things that fit the first part of the theme as they tend not to be available because they??ve been replaced by things which fit the second part of the theme. I found this roll of film (along with about 15 others) when I was searching unsuccessfully for my first camera the other day. I figured there would be no harm in unwrapping it as it must be at least 15 years old and has been sitting in a cardboard box next to a radiator or the last three years ?? I would imagine it??s probably past its prime!

Thanks to Erin (Andarta) for setting today??s theme. Last Tuesday??s theme was ??Journey??. The other interpretations of this week??s theme can be found here [photoblog.com].

I love the composition against the stark white background. Do you use anything in particular for your background?

I love how sharp this is and it works so well in black and white.
