Beyond the wire

I arrived at one of my schools early this afternoon so I drove on down the road to see if I could find a suitable subject for today??s photo. I found a field containing about 30 horses but sadly they all seemed far more interested in munching the grass than posing for me. Just as I was about to walk away I wondered whether the barbed wire fence might make an interesting subject and framed up this shot, using a shallow depth of field to focus on one of the knots.

I'm a sucker for a fence post - and barbed-wire only makes it better! Great focus, bokeh, and shadow on the post!

Bravo Helen, this barbed wire is an appeal (or call, how do we say exactly?) to the freedom

Wow, Helen! This is a fantastic capture!! And I'm biased toward fences and barbed-wire. Thanks for the tips.
