I decide this week that the time had come to upgrade my laptop computer. I use it for virtually all my work and in spite of its tiny 12 inch screen it??s also my main photography computer. It??s become slower and slower recently and this week the small cracks in the outer shell finally became big ones so I decided its days were numbered. I went down to our local computer manufacturer near Portsmouth this morning to pick up my new one and while I was there I popped into nearby Portchester to snap a few shots while I had the chance. The old part of Portchester is lovely ?? an archetypal British village ?? and I noticed the houses there had a wonderful variety of front doors. I snapped a few and these are my favourites from the set. I??m now in the process of transferring everything to my new computer so these are probably the last photos I??ll edit on the old one. My new one has a 14 inch screen (although the machine itself is thinner and lighter than the old one!) so I??m looking forward to not having to squint at my pictures quite so much in future!
