I returned to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre at Arundel today to see some of the new arrivals since I last visited in March. There were plenty of Mallard ducklings (I saw two females moving around together with 22 ducklings in tow!) but I discovered that most of the centre??s other youngsters will arrive in May ?? at least that gives me an excuse to go back again next month! I took a trip on a boat through the reed beds while I was there in the hope of seeing some water voles. Sadly they were all hiding from view but I did manage to catch a shot of a reed warbler which was sitting in a tree singing its heart out.
