Under sunny skies

After a damp and windy start today things brightened up nicely so I took another short walk around the walled gardens at West Dean before left this afternoon. A visit to the glasshouses wouldn??t be complete without an encounter with Hortus, the resident cat, and she was very happy to see me when I found her curled up among the vegetables. After a brief cuddle (Hortus is very much a lap cat, despite being the garden mouser!) I continued on my way and found these some vivid orange flowers planted among the veggies. I thought they were marigolds but after consulting Wikipedia I??m not so sure now ?? if any of you can advise me I??d love to know their name!

Hortus was very happy to pose in the sunshine…. after she'd had a cuddle of course!
