Preparing for the Olympics

We??ve been busy setting everything up for the summer school today so my only chance to take any photos this morning was during a very brief early morning walk. Bishop Burton College has been approved as a potential training ground for equestrian events in the 2012 Olympics and as I walked around I found this newly built wall sporting the five Olympic rings in coloured brickwork. Talking to one of the staff this afternoon I got the impression that, despite their official approval, they are unlikely to actually be used by any Olympic teams as they are so far from London but, you never know, we could find ourselves sharing the site with some very prestigious horses and riders this time next year…

I'd lost track of the next Olympics, but as we drove by the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs a few days ago my daughter said, "It's next year!" You've given me inspiration to go shoot there....have never visited the facility before and this might be a good time!
