I??m spending this weekend at the Cheltenham Recorder Festival, along with about 150 other recorder players. I??m kept pretty busy while I??m here with sessions to conduct and concerts to give so I never have much time for photography. However, I had a free period this morning so I took the liberty of rearranging the display on the Early Music Shop stand here (thank you Peter for allowing me to take such liberties with your stock!) and made my photo for the day from some rather striking red recorders. They are are called ??Dream Recorders??, made by a firm called Mollenhauer. They have a very simple interior design (with a recorder the inside of the instrument, or bore, influences the tone enormously) and are very popular for renaissance and folk music because of their clear, strong sound.
