With Kevin now working full time I??ve been home alone for this week??s half term holiday and I??ve enjoyed finding things to do to make sure I don??t just stay home and work. After spending this morning wrestling with our distinctly dodgy internet connection I decided to pop along to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Arundel once again this afternoon for a short stroll among the birds. Although the centre is best known for its water birds they have a couple of secluded areas with lots of feeding stations for smaller birds and I always seem to spend more time photographing these than anything else when I visit. I spent quite a while in the hide near the feeders this afternoon and was thrilled to encounter a Treecreeper and a couple of Long Tailed Tits for the first time. While some of these shots wouldn??t stand up too well if enlarged greatly (mainly because I was having to shoot at very high ISO settings thanks to the fading light) but I was so pleased to catch some new faces on camera that I just had to share them here.
