It??s been such a gloriously sunny day today it seemed a shame not to get outside to take my daily photo. We had to go to the supermarket this afternoon so once we??d done the shopping I left Kevin to drive home and I walked back, armed with my camera and macro lens. As I wandered along the path behind the Roman Palace I noticed the many Heath Robinson additions to the fence which had been tied in place to keep the horses safely inside the field beyond. I liked the shapes created by the twists of wire and string and felt sure some of them would make quirky photos. Many of the fence posts were also covered in lichen and I was particularly taken with a bright yellow variety I found in one spot. It??s hard to believe that this hard substance is a living organism which has probably been growing here for many years.
Don't fence me in!
