Art in glass (theme)

I just about managed to find time to shoot for today??s Church Windows theme after I finished teaching this afternoon. I sneaked along to St. Mary??s Church in Funtington, intending to shoot some photos to make an HDR image. I took quite a few frames of this particular window at different exposures and tried combining them. However when I did I felt the glorious colours in the glass lost their subtle glow so I decided to just tweak the one exposure to create the effect I was after.

Wow! Wonderful colours...love the dark blues...said to be the most difficult to create in medieval times although this looks modern.

Brilliant results Helen! The colours are extraordinary. This stained glass window seems to have a 3D effect. Beautifully done!

I like that you did not go for strong light through the windows. it adds warmth to the scene

I believe that here the nature was imperative and the HDR would have been credibly superfluous! You were right Helen
