Blue and white skies

I??ve been meaning to take some more interior shots of Bawtry Hall all week but by the end of the course this morning I??d still not found time. Before leaving I nipped into one of the rooms with my little compact camera and took a shot of the beautiful moulding on the blue ceiling. Many of the rooms at Bawtry have these sort of details (albeit with rather ugly smoke sensors stuck on some of them!) so I shall have to make time to capture more of them next year. With the course over and my goodbyes said I jumped in the car and started the long drive home. As I drove down the M1 in Nottinghamshire I was rather struck by the glorious blue sky and white cotton wool clouds and just had to take a photo when I stopped at the nearby services. It was only when I put these photos together on my computer that it occurred to me that they made a rather nice pairing.
