A hole in one
Today has been the single day in the last three and a half year when I??ve come closest to missing out on posting a daily photo. I??ve spent the whole of today conducting a wonderful group of recorder players, rehearsing for a CD we??re recording later this summer in memory of a composer friend of mine, Brian Bonsor, who died last year. With players coming from as far afield as Cornwall, Kent and Middlesbrough we could only possibly have one rehearsal day so today we managed to get nearly an hour??s worth of music up to recording standard. That??s no mean feat and it??s testament to the quality of the players?? musicianship that we were able to achieve so much. Once we??d finished a group of us went to the pub for a meal so by the time I??d dropped my friends Mary and Jim back at their B&B it was eleven o??clock and I still hadn??t taken a single photo. Determined not to be defeated, I set about achieving a hole in one, photographically speaking. I picked a paperclip, set up my camera and tripod, chose my exposure carefully and snapped one frame. A couple of minutes editing in Lightroom and Silver Efex and I??m done ?? time for bed!
