In need of TLC (theme)

It was seeing Pete??s post [photoblog.com] for today??s ??broken?? theme which gave me the inspiration to shoot this picture. When I left home the sky was dark and brooding with some strong rays of sunshinebreaking through ?? perfect conditions for shooting a piece of derelict architecture. Sadly when I arrived at Boxgrove Priory the sun was well and truly hidden and the brooding sky had morphed into a boring grey one ?? somewhat less perfect! The wind was blowing fairly briskly though so I figured there might still be scope for a long exposure to reveal some texture in the clouds as they whizzed through the sky. Rather disappointingly pretty much all of my photos were deeply underwhelming but something about this one caught my eye when I downloaded it onto my computer. I think it??s the fact that, for a matter of seconds, the sun broke through to illuminate the top of the central arch ?? my only stroke of luck from the entire shoot. Given the overcast conditions a monochrome conversion seemed in order and it has enabled me to bring out some detail in the sky. Thanks for the inspiration Pete, even if the result was rather hard to come by!

Broken indeed! This did turn out beautifully in monochrome, Helen....nicely done!
I'll have to admit the first thing I saw were the two eyes and big mouth ;))
