Over the years I??ve reduced my photography magazine habit. When I first got into photography I bought lots of different magazines as a means of learning about the subject. While my knowledge undoubtedly increased I also often found myself with a large backlog of reading material. These days the only one I buy every month is Advanced Photographer which I find has just the right combination of inspirational photos, advice and gear reviews to keep me entertained. I still end up with a backlog (although more manageable) periodically and there are many occasions when I??d love some free time to just sit in a quiet corner with a cuppa and a magazine to catch up on what??s new in the photography world.
Thanks to Julie [photoblog.com] for setting today??s theme. Last Tuesday??s theme was ??photography??. The other interpretations of this week??s theme can be found here [photoblog.com].
The ??Tuesday Inspiration? began in 2009 when Stéfan [photoblog.com] and I started setting each other a photographic challenge on a? Tuesday. Very soon afterwards, we decided to open this up to other PB members, followed by the idea that we should not reveal what the subject is, so that other members could compare how different members view a single theme. The Tuesday Inspiration is not a contest or a challenge, but a group of people all agreeing to post their interpretation of a single theme on Tuesdays. Each week, one of the contributors sets the theme. There are now over 40 members contributing to the TI. We have only two ??rules?: don??t include the subject in the TI title or tags and please comply with standard PB guidelines on courtesy, etc. If you would like to take part, please send me a message via this blog.

This is a verty comforting photo Helen. I wish I had the urge to learn some photography techniques, etc....
