Going nutty!

I spent what felt like an eternity this afternoon unsuccessfully trying to find my photo for the day. I tried all sorts of macro subjects as the light outside was far from inspiring but nothing seemed to work. I was on the verge of giving up (for the first time in over four years of daily posting) when I remembered the bowl of home grown hazelnuts which sits in our kitchen. Bingo ?? I had found my photo! Five frames later this is the rather minimalist result and I can now get on with what I should have been doing hours ago…..

You're almost certainly too young to remember the ad for Topic bars which had a song: "what has a hazel nut in every bite?" I remember the "alternative" answer, which used to get the whole class giggling.
