Today was supposed to be my first day back at work after a whole week off. However, I decided to make my holiday last just a little bit longer with a short stroll along the promenade at Felpham before I set about all my admin jobs. By the time I got there the sun was pretty strong (not that I'm complaining - it's wonderful to see the sun at all!) so there was no chance of an atmospheric photograph on the beach. However, the sun had brought lots of other folk out too so I sat at the side of the promenade and did a little people watching. As I sat there I spotted this cyclist coming towards me and I thought it might be fun to try and catch him on camera as he zoomed past. I had just one chance to catch him and as soon as I'd caught this frame I thought there might be some scope for a gritty black and white conversion to make the most of the cyclist's silhouette and the patterns in the sky.

This is supercool :) Great shot!
