During a brief stop in Bampton for lunch today my friend Sharon gave me a quick tour of the town. Bampton is used regularly to shoot the external scenes in the TV series Downton Abbey and Sharon was able to take some great photos of the case in action when they were filming there recently [webdzine.typepad.com]. Dame Maggie Smith and co weren't there today but the light around the back of the church was rather lovely and a nostalgic sepia interpretation seemed in order.
