Grandeur and entertainment at King's College

In all the times I've been to Cambridge I'd never visited King's College; until today that is. As luck would have it, Kevin and I happened to choose a relatively quiet day to visit the chapel and I was able to spend some time finding interesting angles without getting in the way of the other visitors. After we'd finished in the chapel we took a stroll around the College grounds where the best free show was to be found watching the unruly punters on the River Cam. If you think the roads can be chaotic you should see the Cam on a sunny summer afternoon - truly a free for all where anything goes!

I had no idea until today that the greyhound was used as a royal emblem. This one seemed to be looking at me rather disdainfully.

Historic graffiti

The view across the quad. Miraculously those foreboding looking clouds didn't drop any rain on us!

Messing about in punts on the River Cam. This photo barely begins to capture the complete and utter chaos we saw at times!
