52 Week Challenge - week 4 - 'Framed'

by Helen Hooker January. 27, 2015 3835 views

One of the things I love about having a theme to shoot for is the focus it gives me as I'm out and about with my camera. As I walked through the City of London this morning I kept my eyes peeled for scenes which could illustrate the word ‘framed’ and in doing so I noticed a passageway I'd never even seen before, despite the fact I've walked past it dozens of times on my regular Tuesday route. As I looked down Pinners Passage there were a number of people walking by, minding their own business, and they were framed beautifully by the square lines of the walls. I shot off three frames and this middle one, had just the right combination of people in the right places. The starburst of light from the warning light of a parked vehicle at the end was just the icing on the cake!

A rare sight in the US that would be. Europe seems far ahead in terms of making spaces attractive to its occupants. Great capture.
