Getting on for two years after we moved to Elsenham, our garden is finally beginning to take shape. We had the plot landscaped last November but it was too late to plant much in the new beds, aside from a few bulbs. Over recent weeks the bulbs have gradually started flowering and this week my parents came to stay, armed with a tree and lots of other plants. This morning we took a trip to a nursery near Saffron Walden to buy some extra plants and were given a very warm welcome by Ellie, the resident canine. It'll take a while for things to grow and fill in the gaps but it's definitely beginning to feel more like a garden than a monoculture (my Dad's description back in the days when we only had grass) and we even have some new furniture meaning we can enjoy a cuppa overlooking our new, improved view!

While our garden was being landscaped back in November I took a series of panoramas with my iPhone to document the progress. The distortion is completely crazy but it gives you an idea of how it took shape!

Looks great!
