Lincoln life

Our camera club weekend away started in earnest today, with a day trip to Lincoln. We were given a challenge to shoot for on the theme of ‘strangers’ so I spent much of the day looking for interesting characters among the crowds. There were plenty of buskers demonstrating their skills around the city and I made a donation to their respective collections as a thank you for letting me take their photos. Perhaps the strangest image of the day though was one of the clergy in the Cathedral who I caught checking his smartphone while he waited for the bride to arrive for her wedding in the choir stalls!

While I've been away my access to the internet has been rather patchy so I've had to post two days' photos as once. Please do take a moment to take a look at yesterday's photos too if you'd like to see what else I've been up to.

This chap was busking on the rather aptly named Steep Hill

There were lots of shoppers staggering down Steep Hill.

That's really steep, but I love last one.

Funny coincidence. Steep Hill is very much like Newport Rhode Island. And my favorite watering hole there is a place called Buskers.
